Adult Opportunities

Family Night Suppers Periodically our members bring covered dishes to the Fellowship Hall or we have a picnic and enjoy fellowship and food.

Friendship Club On the second Monday of each month we welcome those in their golden years to socialize with games followed by a delicious lunch prepared by different U.M.W. circles.

Methodist Men’s Club Meetings are on the second Sunday every month. The men meet at 8:00 am for a delicious breakfast, which is followed by a guest speaker.

United Methodist Women We have a very active U.M.W with several circles that meet separately once a month. A general meeting that includes all the circles, meets at 3:30 pm on the second Thursday bi-monthly.

A. Circle II Meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 9:30 am.

B. Annie McLeod Circle Meetings are on the second Monday at 7:00 pm except when Annie McLeod serves Friendship Club; then they will be held Tuesday following Friendship Club.

C. Wesley Circle Meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm

D. SOS Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm at the church.

Aerobic Class Susie Bell leads an exercise class on Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 pm in our Fellowship Hall.

Altar Guild Ladies of the church change the paraments, prepare for and clean up after The Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Children’s Home We’re very fortunate that the conference children’s home is located as near as Selma, Alabama. We encourage our people to support them monetarily and with visits.

Choir Program We have an excellent choir program under the direction of Gay Collins, our Choir Director.

Missions Our outreach is local, national and international. If you are interested in opportunities of service at home or abroad, please contact the Chairperson of Missions to find out “what in the world we are doing.”

Ushers Our ushers make an important contribution to our worship services. The usher chairman would welcome any men who are interested in serving.

Wednesday Night Delight Come and eat supper in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday night at 5:15 pm. This is an opportunity to enjoy good food and good fellowship. The cost is $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for children. Children under 2 years old eat free. Family plan is $25.00
